64-bit Operating System

I have been spending about 4 hours, trying to install bd 2012. When downloading bd I chose Windows 7 as my operating system, maybe I should have chosen Windows 7 64. If it so, how do I change to Windows 7 64?

    Please confirm your minimum system requirements: http://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/total...%20Requirements.


    To confirm if your Windows is a 64-bit version, go to Start Menu/Control Panel/System/ and in System category, it will confirm this: see my example:

    Then run the uninstall tool at the bottom of this link, reboot your PC, then download from the same link the 64-bit version (if you've confirmed 64-bit from the above steps) of the Bitdefender version that you purchased. Make sure to also remove any previous antivirus programs from your PC before you try reinstalling Bitdefender, including any free versions, which the above link also contains an uninstall link for many of those security solutions.
