Internet Security Vs Total Security

Hello everyone,

I am considering to purchase a Bitdefender product.

I have already tried Total Security 2012 on my system and it worked fine.

My question is: is Internet Security lighter on resources?

From CNET article, I saw that there are some differences between the two suites. Can anyone confirm those differences?

    Hello :)

    Welcome to the forums!

There is a word: if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

The only difference between Total Security and Internet Security is Safebox and the Tuneup modules. The protection is the same.

You have here all the details:

    Thank you!

Hello Christian! Thanks for the welcome and for the quick response.

I assume that the resource usage is the same then. Or those two extra modules actually have an impact on the system?

Is there any known issue between Steam and Bitdefender products? I also use BOINC from http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ . Could you tell me if this program is whitelisted or at least not conflicting with Bitdefender products?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello :)

As far as I know, there are no reports from the market regarding BOINC. So I can tell you that software should work perfectly with our products.

You can always add a software to the Exclusions list or report it as a False Positive and we will solve it ASAP.

Those module don't have a heavy impact on the system and if you don't use them, you can always suspend them from the settings.

Let me know if you have other questions.

    Take care.
