Unable To Uninstall Bitdefender Internet Security 2008

Hi,

I uninstalled Bitdefender 2008 using the uninstall program. I got an error 2573... I rebooted the machine and attempted to reinstall. It sees bitdefender as still be installed. If I go to add/programs and view the installed programs in Vista, I do not see Bitdefender listed.

I tried the Bitdefender uninstall utility, and also the microsoft uninstall cleaner with no success. I am still not able to reinstall.

What do I have to do to reinstall BIS 2008???

Please advise.

where did you get the uninstall tool? that's the best way to uninstall

Hello busterman70,

Use the BitDefender Uninstall Tool. Because you have Windows Vista, I assume you also have the UAC (User Account Control) module enabled.

Try to run the tool with Admin rights (right click on it, and select Run as Administrator). If that still doesn't work, disable the UAC module in Window Vista and try again.

After you use the Uninstall Tool, reboot your computer and try to reinstall BD, also using Admin rights.
