Proper Settings For Sonicwall Vpn Connection?

What are the proper adapter settings for the SonicWALL Global VPN Client to enable me to remotely connect with my PC at work?

Apparently a setting got changed recently since I previously have been able to connect with no problem. I have been using Bitdefender Total Security 2012 since April 22.

When I run the VPN Client, the program gets stuck on acquiring an IP address. If I disable the firewall, I am able to connect.

I also discovered that if I changed the VPN adapter settings to Home/Office (was previously marked as Public), Stealth Mode OFF and Generic YES, to match my regular network adapter, I can also connect. I do want to know, though, if these settings are recommended for the VPN adapter or not, or if there is anything else I should be aware of.

Thank you.

    Hello :)

You can set the same parameters for VPNs too, it won't affect the security.

    Take care.
