Full System Scan Takes >2days!

This is amazing. I started my full system scan like two days ago and it's STILL RUNNING AFTER 36 hours! I had to pause the scan and put the Mac to sleep as I felt it was overheating.

I'm using a 2010 Mac Mini, with a 500Gb drive and another backup 1TB drive. I've attached the screenshot.

Is this for real?

  • This is another screenshot, showing that after 45 hours of scanning, 54 million items had been scanned, and it's STILL GOING! I decided to stop it. Maybe it's because BD is scanning multiple copies of my Time Machine on my 1TB backup drive?

    Hello :)

Could you please create exclusions for those locations? Those backups are not infected and they don't need to be scanned.

Also, please unplug the backup drive and tell me if the scanning takes this long.

    Take care.
