Bitdefender Doesnt Update

Hi guys

My Bitdefender says its never been updated. If I click update now, it doesnt do anything. I dont have any issues with viruses/malware etc, Im just a bit perterbed that it isnt updating, or appearing to update anyway.

Im on Vista and I have BD Internet Security v10 installed.

Any help/tips appreciated.

Hi Stan,

Do you have some other Firewall enabled besides BitDefender? Did you disable Windows Firewall?

Or maybe Windows Vista's User Account Control (UAC) is interfering (again) with BitDefender. Try to disable UAC, reinstall BD and see if the problem persists.

To uninstall BD (so you can make a clean re-install), use the BD Uninstall Tool.

Thanks for the reply. Windows defender is disabled. How do I disable UAC?

I also need to find my BD disk now, d'oh!! <img class= " />

I was talking about Windows Firewall, not Windows Defender.

Take a look at the attachment.

Also, I would suggest that you upgrade to BD2008, because it has better Vista support. Upgrading is free, for the remaining license period.

Yes sorry mate, it is off. Will turn UAC off and report back.
