I looked at the 'Recommended settings' post above.


Why is it recommended to have stealth mode off? Isn't stealth mode better for security?

    By making the PC "invisible" in the network/internet, all devices won't be able to communicate with it. I am talking here about network printers, wireless printers, etc


    That's why we recommend users to make those settings in the firewall module.

    From the Help about Stealth Mode


    "Remote : Your computer cannot be detected from the Internet. Local network users can ping and detect your computer."


    Why Stealth Mode set to Remote is not recommended rather than to turn it OFF?

    My computer is stand-alone and everything is connected locally, so I'll have stealth on.
