Improved Software Update System
Given the issues I have seen regarding the release of Build 1349, I would like to suggest that Bitdefender redesigns the update system. To ask your customers to wait over 48 hours to obtain build updates which per your change log fixes issues with standard customer software like iTunes and Chrome and IT pro software like VMware Workstation is not good business.
Also, from my review of other forum threads, it does not look like this is the only issue with your 2013 release. I expect your company will be releasing additional builds to solve these issues. Does your company want to make those customers wait 48 to 72 hours to receive future build updates?
Finally, I would also like to recommend that your company slipstream build updates into the new customer download files and into the repair files to reduce the bandwidth requirements on your update servers by delivering the most upto date build via these two delivery channels.
Best Regards,
Bob G

Hi Bob
First of all, please read this post:
http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...st&p=148435
We can also push signature updates in minutes, but we are real careful with product updates because the system is a little complicated than it looks from the outside.
A product update should be installed on a normal PC in approximately 24-72 hours because of the server sync process. This is is a normal behavior and is has nothing to do with the update system or our servers.
Thank you for your feedback!0
