Firewall Rules Created Repatedly

I'm running BitDefender Total Security 2011. There are many instances where a program I use will connect to the internet and BitDefender will give me a prompt stating it allowed it to connect and created a firewall rule for that app.

This wouldn't' be an issue if it only happened once per program. However, every time the same program connects it gives me the same notice over and over again. I check the firewall rules list and it appears that the app has a rule saved. However, it continuously gives me the prompt that its creating a rule again and again.

If the rule is already present, should it not just load that and not keep telling me it's creating one? I don't want to just disable the notice, I'd like to figure out why it's doing this.

Thanks!
