Bitdefender Free V8 Vs V10
I was after a free lightweight on demand scanner with a decent detection rate.
BitDefender is the only free one that has an usable unpacking engine as well.
So far I have tested superficially v8 and v10.
I like v8 more than v10 since I get not installed elements of the suite which are useless anyway in the free edition and seem only to cause some problems.
My question is if detection rates of v8 are the same as they are with v10.
Virus definitions should be the same but wonder if the abilities of the unpacking engine are also the same?

Version 10 has a better heuristics/unpacking engine then version 8.0 and also spyware protection. The signatures are just the same as you already said.
