How To Let A File Pass The Firewall?

I am playing a game called Lineage 2 and the most important file to start the game (l2.exe) is blocked on my total security 2013.

How can i make this file not to make alerts/not to get blocked in firewall?

  • You should be able to right click the system tray icon for Bitdefender and turn on Game mode.

It is supposed to turn on automatically but I only have 1 game out of 6 that actually works.

Or you can open Bitdefender and go to settings, firewall,Application rules, add rule and browse to file.

    Good Luck !

    Hi again Daffy :)

Try adding .exe file to the firewall Exclusions http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=36066 see also this one http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35502so

Check to see if Game Mode is on in your Settings, top of console, Settings/General. It should load wherever you play a game. Can also be right clicked from the system tray icon.

edit: cleared up sentence. Sorry Tom for the duplicate info. we posted at the same time ^_^

  • That's OK ...Yours looks nicer ! <img class=" />

  • lol, thanks :) I think I may have to much time on my hands ^_^

It sounds like you could help Daffy with follow up game questions, as I really don't game.

  • I have try all of them. Nothing happen.Give me some steps (maybe i done something wrong)

  • Hi Daffy,

Maybe you have to add more than just the file mentioned in your 1st post to Exclusions, both to Firewall and Antivirus. This link is only for example sake, but is what a member had to include to get his to run: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=123708

Also, just for information sake, if you disable the Firewall, or, and then try also disabling On-Access Scanning & Active Virus Control, to see if you can get the game to play?

    Thanks,

    Hello :)

A product update was released. Your build should be 16.18.0.1406(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:
