    Here's a strange situation:


    I turn on my computer, click on the "events" portion of the BD widget and I only see 5 modules. I close that window and right click anywhere on my desktop and select "Refresh"; I check the events again and they are all there, and they stay there until the next time I reboot or start-up.

    Try doing what I mentioned above (right click on the desktop and select "Refresh") then click on the event portion of the widget and see if there is any change.

  • Refreshing desktop actually worked, every time the system boot_s up, I have only 5 modules present (out of 9) but after doing refresh, the complete set of modules in all views reappeared. Is this a case to case ocurrence? There may be a permanent fix to this.

    Just to be clean on this, the issue is only at interface level, on some machines some registry keys point to the wrong location. The engines or the protection has nothing to do with this.


    For now, the only workaround is a Repair process:

    In the next product update scheduled at the end of this month, the issue will be solved by resetting the permissions for those keys.

  • I just tried the repair/uninstall as referenced on this forum. The process got to 65% and crashed. When I rebot my system, the entire system is hosed I can not get an internet connection and even worse my BD is gone. WT__ . I have no idea how to correct my system at this time. I have requested a refund from BD which will only offset the cost of a Geek repair.

    Hi there, you may use the Uninstall Tool from here [ Download ] to completely uninstall BD then try reinstalling. If you can't reactivate immediately, you can generate your unique offline registration code from your MyBitdefender Page by entering your current license code, or you can just use the evaluation version until such time you can reactivate via net. See if anything goes right.

    I managed to get my modules back by repairing the installation via the Start and All Programs list (Windows 7).


    The process did stall at 65% as has been noted before, but after rebooting my PC, I went back to the Bitdefender folder via the Start and All programs list. Clicking the repair option forced the installation process to start again.


    All is okay now.

    Hope you release new build soon and it fixes the problem. It is annoying. I am having Bitdefender IS 2013 with update and safego disappeared. :(

    The new build will include several fixes, but this one reported in this topic is first one on the list because without the main interface, you can not change the settings in the product or read events.

    Very true on this that's why i decided to not install mine and return for a refund. The minute my brother see me with new box of Bitdefebder 2013, he warn me to check forum first and glad i did. He told me Bitdefender is nothing but trouble and support is really ###### both phone, chat or email. By looking at this forum, for the most part, i do agree with him.

    The issue was fixed but a small key has to be deleted and the product will read all the panel from the default location.


    So, for those that still encounter this issue, please download and run this patch:

    Select Yes when prompted and reboot the PC.


    All the panels will be restored in the default order if build 16.20 is installed.

    All seems fine over here on laptop and PC, fingers crossed it stays this way.


    I had to reboot twice on PC and 3 tilmes at laptop before all showed ok, just saying for others to try reboot a few times.

    I just completed clean re-install successfully.


    For the first time since I performed ​​the first upgrade from 2012 to 2013 version, i got the B icon on the desktop automatically.


    Safepay icon wasn't located where it should be and did not named correctly, it's still "obk.exe"(antispam32- folder where is placed).


    "Remote Control" and "Sandbox" work properly, also all modules from "Events" and "Settings" are in their place.


    I´m manually placed Safepay icon on the desktop.


    Currently, all looks ok.


    NOTE: Thank you very much for restoring "Update Progress Bar" on the main Bitdefender window.

    All the wonderful fixes and features that are in this build, fantastic. Yet, as you have seen in other posts, and now experienced, the Safepay desktop shortcut doesn't seem to be installing on its own :blink:

    We'll see what the next day will bring, although I'm already accustomed to this situation about B and Safepay icons.( B icon currently is ok) :D

    After the new build 16.21.0.1504 my problem with Safepay icon was resolved, but currently I can´t use " Remote Control".


    When i try, i am automatically logged out from "My Bitdefender", this happened to me the first time yesterday.
