Bitdefender 2013 Blocking Access To Directadmin Control Panel On Port 2222

Hello everyone,

Since upgrading to Bitdefender Internet Security 2013, I am not able to connect and login to several DirectAdmin Control Panels on port 2222. It does not matter if I use the IP address or the domain address.

I am using Windows 7 (fully updated), Firefox 15.0 (beta), Firefox (14.01) and Internet Explorer 9.

The message I get is: The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

Can someone help?

  • Hello everyone,

After more trial and error, I have found the following additional information.

The DirectAdmin Control Panel can normally be accessed via http://www.epcpower.nl:2222/.

This URL however, refers to https://daweb13.oxilion.nl:2222/ from the hosting company used for this domain.

This reference is generating the problem. When I directly go to the last URL, the webpage normally loads and I can login. It seems that the change from http to https is not accepted by Bitdefender Internet Security 2013.

Solving this "problem" however is still required.

    Anyone?

    With kind regards,

    Rob

    Hello :)

A product update was released. Your build should be 16.18.0.1406(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:

Let me know if the situation is solved.

    Have a nice day.

  • Hello Christian,

Unfortunately, the product update has not corrected the problem. I still get the message "The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." when I try to load http://www.epcpower.nl:2222/.

    With kind regards,

    Rob

    Hello :)

Could you please make these settings in the product and let me know if the issue is resolved?

  • Hello Christian,

Unfortunately, this did not resolve the problem. I still get the message that the connection has been reset.
