Bitdefender And Mozilla Firefox

We have just downloaded bitdefender 2013 and when we enter "run" on the desk top to instal it we get an error saying requires an internet connection to instal. We have a connection, we think it has something to do with our recently installed firefox browser because this is our second bitdefender we had 2012 and it got problems after we installed firefox, so we deleted it and got bitdefender 2013 and now can't instal it at all. Help anyone???
