License Question!

Options

I already have another paid antivirus that will expire next year but my friend has gifted me a Bitdefender Antivirus plus for 1 year (Box pack)! Will it work if i activate it next year and will it work with 2014 edition if it releases?

Good morning mk7898mk, and welcome :)

Yes, as long as you have a valid license, you will be able to download the 2014 (or 2013) version, and use that license key. Bitdefender is very good about that sort of thing, as seen here: http://www.bitdefender.com/support/How-to-...r-2012-711.html

It sounds like you have a nice friend, nice gift :)

Thanks you very much Columbo for the information! :-)

As you said that it will activate.......will it activate with full 365 days?

Yes, it will start the day you active it, for the full 365 days, so no worries there :)

Just a caveat that I, we, may not have covered and that maybe I just assumed, in that your friend didn't use or register from that box, i.e. registered it, tried it, uninstalled it, then gave it to you. As long as it has not been registered, and will be a (future) new, clean instal, then all that was discussed above in our posts applies :)

    Just making sure ;)

    Hi :)

You can keep that license inactive for years, only when used for the first time in the product it will be activated.

Make sure that you properly remove that other security solution before installing Bitdefender.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate.

    Take care.
