Hp 6700 Scan To Computer

Hi. I recently got an HP 6700 printer. It has a "scan to computer" function where when you initiate a scan from the printer, it will save to the computer, but this does not work unless the firewall is turned off. How do I make a firewall rule/ exception for this feature? Everything else works fine (network printing, etc).
