Bitdefender Lan Configuration ---help!
Hello!
I wanna set up a trusted home network..but simply I can`t..I think it`s because of BItdefender Internet Security 2008..
I have a laptop and a desktop pc. I want to set up a network so both of the computers could use internet and tranfer files..
I have Bitdefender Internet Security on both of them..I know the best thing is that i would buy a router..i haven`t enough money at the moment and this is an urgent situation..
I have two lan cards on my desktops pc and i want to share internet connection and file sharing between the pc and the laptop!
I run Windows XP Network Wizard.. choose all the settings and everything works good that far..I can find each computer on "view workgroup computers" but I still have no Internet on my laptop..I can find each computer but cant connect it just says that i have no access and i have to contact administrator or something like that..
I think it`s Bitdefender Internet Security 2008 what blocks all the lan traffic ( On my desktop pc internet works fine, i just cant connect with the laptop..)
Can you guys help me please? How do i need to configure Bitdefender Internet Security 2008 when I`m using home based-trsuted network between two computers?
Thanks for any help!

Hello fr3kvent,
For the ICS to work, you have to open BitDefender, go to Firewall -> Advanced and enable the option Activate ICS Support. This option has to be enabled on the computer that has the connection shared (in your case, the PC). On the other computer (laptop), it's not really necessary. This has to work because it's exactly the same way I have internet connection on my laptop
For the File Sharing to work, you have to reset both BitDefender Firewalls' Profiles, and select Trusted network. Also, in the Zones tab, add the intranet IPs as Trusted zone. If this doesn't work, please post (I'm not using File Sharing, but in theory these are the settings for it).
Cris.
P.S.: Sorry for the late reply.0
