Guild Wars 2

So I can't connect to guild wars 2. It keeps pointing fingers at my firewall. I can see the rule in the firewall saying the game is ok and I told it not to scan that game folder. The other thing I did was add the game ports to my router. So I am baffled at why the game won;t connect.

    Yeah i have the same problem. It would be nice if someone could fix it ;)

    Edit 1 : The game works fine if i turn off the firewall but that kinda defeats the purpose of the whole thing now doesnt it?

  • Hello :)

    A product update was released. Your build should be 16.20.0.1483(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

    In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:

    Let me know if the situation is solved.

    Have a nice day.

  • Got a new scenario that is related to the firewall;

    I have two 'Guild War 2 ' accounts (one for me and one for guest), but since I have installed Bitdefender on both computers used too play this game, I get a connection failure on one of the two computers depending on which one did not load in first.

    I have made sure that appropriate configurations and permissions have been set for the game so far as I know, I have also cross referenced both computers to make sure that in relation to this type of application is the same.

    Sometimes if I'm lucky or maybe if I wait for a period of time it seems I might actually get too load both computers with the game at once.

    (If it matters, both computers use Ethernet hooked up too a router (WNDR4500 to be precise))

    Help?

  • Sorry for the repeat, I don't normally post to forums. Newbie indeed.

  • Maybe you have same IP for both game accounts when you connect to GW2 servers, they won't allow 2 or more connections from same IP

    Another easy way to get things working is temporaly activate the paranoid mode, open the games you want the firewall to trust, allow it when asked and then turn the paranoid mode off. You only have to do it once.
