Windows Updates

Options

I know this is a common topic but I'm still having a problem. When I first upgraded from Total Internet Security 12 to 13, my internet connections were disabled. I was able to repair that through information on the blog. However, subsequently, I received prompts to update several windows media updates, both through BD and Windows. I downloaded these, but the prompts returned. I found a repair tool on this site to repair the problem but after I installed it the update prompts continue to occur. Here's the link I used to repair the windows update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I am using XP.

Also, I tried to send an email to BD support but it seemed not to recognize my activation key and so I had to send it as though I wasn't registered. Any ideas on this, too?

Thank you for any help you can offer.
