[resolved] Can't Uninstall Due To Incompatible Product [solved]
All,
Wanted to share since this bugged me until i worked it out. So BitDefender wouldn't install due to some incompatible previous software. Eventually I worked out that if I ran the installer but didn't exit and go to AppData/Local/Temp/RarSFX0/extern I can find the file which it was checking for in the XML list. In this case it was safeguard360. After viewing that file, it was checking the registry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\360SD
By removing this entry, I could run the installation again without problems. If your BitDefender won't install, just note the product causing the issue, search for the xml in the extern folder and remove the regkey it is checking for to bypass the check.
All works fine!
