I've upgraded my ARC (Advanced Room Correction System) software from version 1.1 to version 2.0. Bitdefender thinks it is infected with:
Gen:Variant.Adware.Graftor.1377 and deletes the main application file "arc 2 measurement.exe". Without that, I cannot EQ my room for mixing and mastering music (Steinberg Cubase 6 - 64 bit). Both software packages are very expensive and this false positive is costing me money. I've tried excluding the application from "files & folders" and "processes" but it still keeps getting deleted daily (uninstalled and installed until the cows come home). There are no other exclusion options that fit.
IK says that Bitdefender knows about the false positive and they have confirmed it was a false positive. I opened a BD trouble-ticket last week (more than 2 business days ago) and I have not heard anything back yet.
What can be done to prevent this important file from being deleted!!!!!! I'm ticked off!
