Shifting To Bitdefender From Kaspersky And Mcafee

hi.i use Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 Trial.i used to use McAfee and Kaspersky.now i want to shift to BitdefenderIS 2013.and i have some questions:

1-in McAfee and Kaspersky i could deny access to a specific file.for example i could deny access to autorun.inf files so that when i clicked on them, it would give me the following message: "access to this file is Denied".or i could deny access to any other file.How can i deny access to a specific file in Bitdefender???

2-is it possible it Activate BitdefenderIS 2013 license without using "MyBitdefender" account.i mean i want to activate the license but i do not want to use "MyBitdefender" features and i do not want to use bitdefender account to log into it.is it possible???

3-how can i disable or enable Bitdefender cloud network???

4-i could not find any boot-time scan in Bitdefender.does it do that automatically???

i'd appreciate any answer in advance.

About your 2nd question, I'm not sure but I think it's impossible.

Finally, try and test this product very very hard before you buy it.

1) As far as I know Bitdefender don't have such option. I am going to suggest the same feature for Bitdefender.

2) You will have to use offline registration code for registration only, may be 20-digit code.

3,4) Since 2012 version, Bitdefender is redesigned as Silent Security and most of the important settings are not configurable for Advanced users.

Let me answer to this:

1. Why do you find this useful? You can simply hide the location of that file in Windows Explorer and it won't be visible to all users.

2. The product can be registered without an account, but you won't receive signature updates after 30 days. If you want to use the product totally offline ,you should update it once a week using Weekly:

3. You can disable the cloud network, this is part of the active protection.

4. Boot time scanning can cause slowdown.
