Pinned Firewall Recommended Settings Still Relevant?

This was also originally mistakenly posted in the BD 2012 Products>Firewall forum.

Read your Pinned Firewall Recommended Settings post as seen below:

We recommend you to make sure the Firewall settings are allowing the PC communication with the internet as follows:

- open Bitdefender, go to Firewall panel and make sure it is turned on

- click on "Network details" and locate the adapter. It is either Local Area Connection if the device is connected by cable or Wireless Area connection if it is a wireless device

- for this particular adapter please set

*Network type to Home/Office;

* Stealth mode to Off;

* Generic to Yes;

and click Close.

Now please reboot the PC.

Newly installed BD IS 2013 on Windows 7 64bit. My current settings are Network Type: Home/Office, Stealth Mode: Remote and Generic: No. I am having no problems whatsoever connecting to the Internet. Any reason to change to your recommendations? Would think that Stealth Mode on Remote or On is a good thing.

Hello

A product update was released. Your build should be 16.24.0.1682(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
