Internet Security 2012 Slows Down My Computer

Pentium ® Dual CPU

1.99 GB of Ram

I recently installed Bitdefender's Internet Security 2012. Now my computer takes a long time to start up or come back after Standby mode. I have read on this forum that other people have experienced the same thing and they were asked to upgrade to the 2013 version. I'm not sure if that applies in my case since I bought the version that was to be sold in Thailand only.

With the earlier version, my computer used to freeze when it shut down. With the updates, the problem disappeared. I expected this later version to be better and am now VERY disappointed.

Please advise.
