Forte Agent Problem

Internet Security 2008. I use Agent for reading news from Giganews. Giganews allows using port 80 or port 119 to connect. Sometimes http port seems faster with Comcast.
Works fine with nntp port, but will not allow http to connect. I have tried adding port 80 to the firewall rules, but still get blocked. As I am new user of Bitdefender, may need instructions !!
I just got Bitdefender because of problems with Eset ISS and Outpost Firewall newest versions. Problems cured ! Vista is driving everyone nuts and I have XP Pro.
