Windows Explorer Stopped Working
Hi, I got the same problem as this person in this thread. www.tomshardware.com/forum/53570-63-windows-explorer-stopped-working.
The person said 'Nevermind, the problem had to do with Bitdefender 2013... Check out their forums for the solution, had to download a registry file that fixed up everything'.

I have exactly the same problem. If I right-click a USB device in the Windows Explorer tree and try to do anything in the context menu (even just checking properties), Explorer crashes and an item is added to the event log with exactly the details listed above. Is there a solution for this yet?

Hi,
I have the same problem, too. I reinstalled windows 8 three times, but each time after I install Bd ts 2013, explorer starts crashing time to time. Also, icons in my task bar turns blank for more than 20 seconds. It is really disturbing. Same thing happens when I install any new software!0 -
Hello all,
This issue was solved by automatic update of the Bitdefender product. Your current build should be 16.28.0.1789 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
