Software License

....I am still trying to understand the License usage, I've been told by support after

365 days, if I don't send them more money the software will deactivate, also I have

had other people tell me that it is the subscription of the virus definitions that stops

being downloaded, but support contradicts that by telling me both software usage

and virus definitions will cease...

....I know one is not good without the other but I have never heard of this before, if

I walk into a store ie: (Best Buy) and purchase a software off the shelf it does not

stop working ever, it just keeps going...

The information below is extracted from the license agreement:

You will have certain rights to use the Bitdefender Product during the License Period, which shall begin on the date of Your initial installation of the Bitdefender Product regardless of the number of copies that You are permitted to use, and shall last for the period of time set forth in the Documentation or the applicable transaction documentation from the Bitdefender distributor or reseller from which You obtained the Bitdefender Product. The Bitdefender Product may automatically be deactivated at the end of the License Period, and You will not be entitled to receive any feature or content updates to the Bitdefender Product.
