Sometimes i get BD scanning files or http firewall in the activity bar when i'm doing nothing.
I did a virus scans and it appears i don't have any virus/spyware.
Is it normal for BD to do this?
Hello Chesda,
Even if your are not doing anything, it doesn't mean that the computer is just staying there doing nothing. Windows (or other applications that are running in backgorund) always finds something to do, like:
- write some log files
- create backups (some applications just save their files from time to time, to prevent full data loss in case of system crash)
- search for updates (there are many applications that have auto-update features, including BitDefender...and these actions will appear as reads/writes on HDD, and as network traffic)
- index files (in case you have such applications, or you have the Indexing Service enabled in Windows)
- other such actions...
In short, the computer is not sleeping. Once you turn it on, it will work and the only way to make it stop is to shut it down (or Suspend it).
Cris.
