Ussually after an update that requirs restart is done,a window should appear that asks you when you want to restart your PC in order for the new updates to be installed.Sometimes that window fails to appear(which is very rare)but think at this,if you have downloaded those updates and the first time the window did not appear and u failed to restart thus making the updates usless the next time your bd updates it will get the same updates and that window promting you to restart can't fail forever(it will eventually appear).
As for your direct question "Where can I find out what was updated with some of these releases that require a reboot" i know one solution but it works if you have BD 10,go to update and in the first panel there it should be a button that if you push it shows all the viruses signitures it has.But you'll never be able to find out exactly what was there before and what's after the update because of the huge number of virus signitures. If you wanna know how manny virus signitures you get after each update just take a look in the Update panel and try to remember the number of virus signituresand compare it with number you'll have after the update.0 -
i think i saw one of the bd evanghelists saying something about an option in which you could choose to get your updates only once a week thus getting all of them at once.Look in the general talk posts!

Hi Jimbo Kern
What mihai romanian said is correct. You can only see when your latest update was and how many signatures and which engine version BitDefender uses. By open BitDefender go to update. But you can't see which files are being updated. I know that this isn't a real solution. But you can take a look when a file is last modified. By going to the installation folder of Softwin (BitDefender). And righclick on the items and choose properties. The option weekly or cumulative is only used when you want to manually download the signatures of the BitDefender website. You will find references in their knowledgebase when there where many changements : http://kb.bitdefender.com/P2143-11-en--Bro...virus-Plus.html
But that isn't always done.
