Vpn Concerns

My company uses a website for processing secure information. Once on the website the VPN links to my computer to assure I am who I say I am before data is allowed to be accessed. I recently purchased a new computer and it was pre-loaded with PC Cilin as the security program. It would not allow me access to my business website since it saw the VPN as a virus.

I was told by our tech people I needed to purchase a security software that allowed specific VPN screening and access. Does BitDefender allow this type of access yet protect the system from other programs that are running at the same time. Currenlty, I have to shut off my PC Cilin when I am at our secure website. I also have all other internet programs shut down as well to avoid issues, but it reduces my effectiveness since I usually need data for other internet locations at the same time.

I find myself starting and stopping programs to try and maintain the security of my own computer and it is not an effective or efficient approach.

Thanks.
