Windows Security Installer Problem

I tried to install Bitdefender int security.It prompted me to continue to install & remove older antivirus which i accepted.But while installation,An error occurred which said"a network error occurred while attempting to read from the file:c:\Windows\Installer\epp.msi".It showed that Microsoft Security Client error or something which i didnt quite understand.So it started undoing the installation/removal of the security client and did not proceed with the Bit defender installation.So please help me to install this product and secure my pc.

It looks like you have Windows 7, correct, and from the looks of it, MSE was your previous AV solution. If this is correct, please seek to uninstall MSE from Programs and Features, or if needed, use this help: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect...86-fa08d80725a4

If it was another AV solution, use the uninstall tool from here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=36510

Try reinstalling BD, if you still have problems, the information you provide from above can give us a direction of a more in depth route we may need to take.

Thanks Columbo .It helped really.Now i have uninstalled the MSE from my computer and its a lot more faster and better.Now i can finally install Bitdefender 2013.Thank you very much for all the help.
