Hello ?


Please, check picture file. and please see green box.


I have a question.


Now, i use bitdefender IS 2013.


When i use Norton IS,, in green box


I can see "Norton Internet Security Firewall Actived".


But, after install bitdefender IS 2013.


in green box.


I see just "Need recommended setting".


in bitdefender, already firewall actived.


is it normal ??? or have problem?

    Hi ammjy, and welcome :)


    Yes, that is correct for your Windows Firewall to be off and not to be named/associated with Bitdefender. Bitdefender turns the Windows firewall off when it is installed, as the 2 could conflict with each other, and slow your PC down. As long as your Bitdefender upper toolbar shows Green on your main console (and Security Watchdog in Windows 7), you're fine. You can can also check the status of Bitdefender's Firewall in the Action Center.


    So yes, for your Windows Firewall to be off, and not have any settings is correct.
