Cant Uninstall Bit Defender 2013

I had 2012 on my system which I then tried to upgrade to 2013. The program installed and then just hung. When you click on the icon in the toolbar it says "services are loading please wait", and does nothing. I have tried to uninstall it using remove programs, the bitdefender uninstall tool (it just says unpacking installation and does nothing) and I have tried to stop the program using windows task manager which then says access denied.

So now my PC is cactus. any ideas how to get this off my system please. Im running Windows XP

Hi,

Go to this page and download the proper tools to uninstall (again) either your previous 2012 and 2013 products.

If this is impossible on normal mode try those on Safe mode (restart & F8).

Restart and use CCleaner on Registry mode to clean Registry.

Restart again and install BD 2013 (better with offline installer)
