upon installation of bd antivirus 2008 for vista i checked on the box that in the installation wizard says to turn off windows defender. everything worked, updated, etc. at first, as usual, the windows security center popped up saying that there is no antispyware software active. after rebooting though, the security center didn't pop up now. checking on it in programs, it says windows defender is active. is there some kind of error? i go to windows defender in programs, click on it, and a screen shows up saying windows defender is turned off though, and says if i want to turn it back on. so i'm confused since the windows security center says it is active. could that just be some kind of mistake in windows security msg since it doesn't recognize bd as an antispyware program? how do i confirm that windows defender is really off? task manager? any help would be appreciated. thanks.
