How do I get back to desktop when the Rescue CD has finished scanning. When I click the off icon all I get is a dark screen and I have to turn off the power and reboot. It is probably obvious, but I am a dim newby.

    You either have to roboot your system or shutdown it and again power it ON.

    DON`t forget to remove the rescue CD If your Bios is set to boot from cd/dvd drive.
