Bit Defender Internet Security Not Recognised By System Mechanic

I have recently installed Bit Defender Internet Security 2008 and am currently trialing it. Previously I was using free AVG antivirus and Zone Alarm firewall. I also run Iolo System Mechanic, which used to recognise both AVG and Zone Alarm as actively protecting my system. However, since I installed Bit Defender, System Mechanic does not appear to recognise any active virus or firewall protection on my computer. I'm fairly sure Bit Defender is installed and working correctly as the boxes are ticked on the status page. Are there any known conflicts between the two applications?

Hello Rocky Racoon,

If BitDefender works OK and you don't get any errors, then there are no conflicts between BD and System Mechanic.

If System Mechanic doesn't detect BitDefender, then you have to mail the developer of System Mechanic to add detection for BitDefender. This is not an BitDefender issue, therefore nobody here can do anything about it.

If, on the other hand, you get any errors, please post them here, in detail (a screenshot would help).
