I have been using Bitdefender Free for more than a month. During my time using it, i have found it very impressive. Me and my friend tried putting a couple of viruses on a usb stick to see if it could detect it.
It did, and found 33 threats.

So that left quite an impression on me, however have a few issues with it. the first is that whenever i scan manually scan a usb flash drive (It doesn't detect it and offer to scan it for me), it would find the viruses/malware and quarantine it. Examples would be usually a worm type. Two things happen, BD would say successfully quarantine and the other show me i have to restart. I tried cleaing quaratine by selecting "Delete All". Doesn't work. I tried restarting my computer, but the message still appears after a reboot. Then the message would eventually disapear afterwards. Also, let say i had 8 items quarantined and i click to delete all. They would eventually all disapear from quarantine after a couple of hours and a few reboots.
Now the question is wether this is normal and should i be afraid? I mean it disappearing from quarantine hours after i click the that Delete all button. 
I don't like scanning usb flash drives with bitdefender now because of this, so i got anotehr Av companion to do the usb scanning.
Another thing about Bitdefender AV free is that for some reason, just recently it wouldn't let me on back virus shield or let me maximize Bitdefender from system tray. It let me maximie one time, however it wouldn;t let me on the virus scan. (I had to off virus scan temporarily for some things i was doing.) This was probably the 2nd problem that occurred after the 1st one i listed. I had to do a repair install to fix it. I please hope you guys could make sure such a problem doesn't occur again. I really don't know what could have caused that.
I really am impress with bitdefende, however i would like these issues to be fix before i can readily tell my friends to try this. I'm glad to hear more features will be coming and i can't wait to see them!
