Bitdefender Blocking Origin From The Internet

Hello all,

I had a search on the forum but couldn't find an answer to my problem.

I'm using BitDefender total security 2013 running on windows 7.

The problem I'm having is that when I try to run Origins client software I get a message saying "you must be online when logging in for the first time"

There's no network problems on my laptop, I can surf the web and even login on Origins website + every other program has no problems opening an Internet connection.

I've entered a rule on bit defenders firewall and anti virus for all of origins exe. Files but i still can't login.

I also tried running the autoruns program to disable parental controls under the services tab but parental controls didn't appear as its disabled already.

Origin/EA support are a waste of space, I've spent a total of 4hrs with them most of which either waiting for an advisor or on hold so I was hoping someone on here might have some ideas

Any help would be greatly received
