Bitdefender doesn't even know the lights were turned off. Good find Rampant.

Rescue Mode files are also unprotected.

  • Yeah, but they are restored on restart. I checked this.

  • Any anti-virus product, must resist any attempts to complete the services. To restore operation bitdefender, need to restart the system, it is not acceptable.

Yeah...you are right, IDS also fail here.

    THX Rampant,

This is not a "Feature request" thing but a security huge hole which must be fixed yesterday.

    Hello,

The explanation is pretty simple: Process Hacker can kill any antivirus product. This is also mentioned on the FAQ section:

    http://processhacker.sourceforge.net/faq.php

Process Hacker can kill my anti-virus software! Is this a bug in the anti-virus software?

No. Please do not report these incidents as bugs because you will be wasting their time.

Process Hacker has a digitally signed driver and can inject into other processes. A malware can not do this, so basically there is no security flaw.

    Thank you for reporting this.

    Have a great day!
