No. Doing so will break the functionality of the Rescue Mode scan. This is used to boot into a Linux environment to help repair/remove infected files that can't be repaired/removed while windows is running.

Unfortunately, Bitdefender self-protection does not protect these files. I don't understand why they aren't protected from being deleted and submitted a feature request for this protection many months ago. To this day, these files are still not protected.
