Connection Reset By Peer On Network Drive
Hello,
Since moving to BitDefender Internet Security 2013 I have one problem concering access to a network drive. This is only affecting the Windows 7 PC's on my home network (XP seems ok).
I have a Western Digital ByBookWorld Edition II network drive connected to my router, and after around 10 minutes (not constant) of inactivity the drive goes offline and cannot be reconnected until it is powerd off and on. The drive checks out fine so I am happy it is a BitDefender issue as if I disable to firewall on the Win 7 PC the problem does not appear.
I have tried the following with no success:
1) Create a trusted zone for the network drive at 192.168.0.2 (network drive has static IP address)
2) Ensured uPNP is enabled
The drive error log says 'connection reset by peer' and I have also applied the microsoft fix referred to in a similar AV problem at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981344 but no change.
All software and hardware is running up to date drivers and I have run out of ideas. I like Bitdefender a lot but if it can't work with my network drive I will have to revert to previous software.
Thanks, Nick

Thanks but there is nothing new there that I had not previously tried. Also, the problem is not constant, but as I said it appears after a variable time of drive inactivity.
