Access To Applets

I'm currently in college and have been given a disk with links to Java Applets and I'm not able to access all of the content. The messages I get say that my security settings are stopping causing this lack of access. What do I need to do to allow access to Applets?

Make sure first if it's BD causing this. Can you also trying closing it first then see if it launches?
