Bitdefender Not Working For A While Now

For a couple weeks now my bitdefender program has been saying that it is not responding. it worked for a couple months when i had first purchased it, but after a while it simply stopped working.


my information is as follows:


Bit Defender AntiVirus 2008


Vista Home Premium


As for the issue itself, it says that my real time protection is disabled, as well as the identity control protection. If anyone knows how to make my bitdefender work again, please do tell--any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you very much for your time.

    I recommend that you try this press the windows button together with r now type services.msc press enter. See if the BitDefender Virus Shield and BitDefender Threat Scanner is running (started). If not left click on it and press on start. Double click on these services and see if the startup type is set on automatic if not change it and press on apply and ok. If that still doesn't work right click on the BitDefender icon near the system clock press on exit. Now put in your BitDefender installation cd-rom or double click on the downloaded installer package and perform a repair installation.
