How Do I Backup My Settings To Move To A New Laptop?

I am getting a new laptop tomorrow and am going to transfer bd total security 2013 to it, due to there being a lot of settings etc.. is there any easy way to backup the settings and then restore them?

i used kaspersky before bd and then had an option to creat a backup file in the program and was really useful, i don't see that anywhere in bd?

Sorry, as of now, there is no ability to back up and transfer BD setting to a new PC. That has been a feature request for awhile, but has yet to be considered or resolved: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=46286

@doncht, thank you for your willingness to help here on the forum. May I suggest a bit more research in posting solutions (I've been there before and have done the same missteps ) as the link you gave was to a 2008 workstation thread.
