Cant Load Games Downloaded Through Origin
I am trying IS 2014... and I like it and want to buy it except for one thing. All of my Sims 3 games are installed through Origin and they will not load. The few that are installed via CD load and run normally.
I am running Windows 8 x64. But AV2013 did the same thing on Windows 7 x64.
If I disable AVC then they will run normally. But that just isn't something I want to do every time.
I am not as smart as I used to be and just cant find the setting that will fix my problem. I have excluded every file and folder I can think of to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Hi Gregg
It sounds like you know the drill, and you asked for any help, so here is what I have to offer
Did you also add Origin in Processes? Like you, another member member had to do the shotgun approach to get his games to play: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...c=46002&hl=
Also, try setting your firewall with these settings, and then in Firewall/Settings, enable Paranoid Mode, restart your PC, and see if you get any pop ups to allow Origin etc. when you attempt your games.
That's the best I have to offer, if it doesn't work, maybe someone here who is more of a gamer can help. Also, is the Customer Support option (below in my siggy).0 -
Welcome to the Bitdefender forums, Gregg_R
If Bitdefender is still blocking The Sims 3 games installed through Origin, we need to run a few tests to see what is wrong.
Please save this tool on the PC, then right click on the downloaded file and from the menu choose "Run as Administrator":
http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...efender_SPT.exe
Follow the on-screen steps. When the progress bar gets to the end click "Finish". A new archive will appear on your desktop. The name starts with "BDSP_....".
You may not be able to upload the archive here as it's too big so you can put it on www.sendspace.com or any other file hosting site and post the download link.
I am waiting for your answer. Thank you.0
