I am hoping you can help me out. I an trying to uninstall bitdefender from my android phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus) and am I having an issue. When I try to uninstall the program it prompts me to remove it as a "device administrator". When I try to bitdefender asks for a pin number, which I don't recall putting one in during install.

My question is what do I do now so I can uninstall the software from my phone?

    Hello dalumberjack,

    Welcome to the Bitdefender forums.

Prior to uninstall the application from your device, you will need to remove the Device Admin rights for it. To deactivate the Device Administrator right for Bitdefender Mobile Security, please follow the steps below:

    - from your Android phone, go to Settings

    - select Location & Security

    - go to Select Device Administrators and uncheck Bitdefender Mobile Security from the list

Note: if you are prompted for a PIN, please enter the PIN that you chose for the app

You can find your PIN by logging into your https://my.bitdefender.com/ account from:

    https://my.bitdefender.com/en_us/my/#page=antitheft.index

In the right side, you will have a menu with a box that contains "...". Click on it and choose "Show Password". You will see the PIN and you will be able to uninstall the product.

You can now proceed with uninstalling the application the same way as you would with any other.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance. :)
