Unaccessable Site

Options

I've been using Bitdefender for years and this is the first time I've had an issue I can't figure out. Everything was working just fine up thru the morning of 8/28. Since the following day, the website that I use to access my work schedule will not load and gives the window "This Page Can't Be Displayed" after a couple minutes. Because my job's website has gone down before, I didn't give it any thought. Now it's been 5 days that I can't access it and working with the IT department has shown no issue on their end. I spent hours trying different computers and different browsers in case it was something specific with my laptop, but same results no matter what. Then I reset IE10 and I could suddenly access the site, but Bitdefender became unavailable immediately at that point until I closed the browser. Then once BD was running again, I could no longer access the site. I had IS 2013 at first, I upgraded it to TS 2013, and finally upgraded to the current TS. Every time I have BD installed, I can't access my company's site anymore. I haven't made any changes to my laptop in the past week. The page does require a windows login prompt, which does pop up when I go to the site, but once I login... nothing. If I'm already on a page (like yahoo) it doesn't even give an error, just tries for a couple minutes and stops leaving me at the same page I was already on.

I've never seen BD just treat a specific site as if it doesn't exist before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello Tobingrey,

Welcome to the Bitdefender forums and thank you for reporting this situation.

I need to know the address you access.

Also follow these steps, which will guide you on how to turn off each Bitdefender module so we can isolate the feature causing this issue:

Tried the above steps with no change. the address I am trying to get to is http://66.64.161.233/callview or http://istsupport.com

Either way the site requires login credentials that are asked for, but after entering them the page never loads. This is a company access site so I can't post my login here.

That seems to have done the trick. So I'm guessing its some sort of product update that is the root of the problem? Will not having the product updates cause any other problems?

I spoke too soon... problem came back. And I repeated the process and it went away. So what is bdtl.dll and how do I keep it from returning so I don't have to keep going thru the whole process to get rid of it again?
