Bitdefender Antivirus Plus Forgets Settings

Hi,

I run Windows 8 on my Laptop and have the problem that my Bd Antivirus Plus forgets the settings like the enabled "auto update" function or the disabled "auto-scan" which was really annoying when the PC was idle.

I tried to repair Bitdefender, didn't help.

I tried to uninstall it with the uninstall tool but this wasn't possible->I restarted the system after uninstall and cleaned the drive+registry with ccleaner, restarted again but when I tried to install Bitdefender again I got the message that it is already installed. So, I could rather repair it, nor remove it. <img class= " />

I decided to play back my backup and made a complete clean install of Bitdefender Antivirus, but after 2 days I had the problem with forgetting changes of the settings in the bitdefender gui again.

Finally I cleaned my whole drive, installed Windows 8.1 and will use the integrated Windows Defender, that's too bad dear bitdefender team, but I can not work with this beta software, just want to let you know. <_<

on windows 8 the autoscan runs as part of windows scheduled maintenance. also unless you switch off autopilot, the program 'adapts' settings to protect your computer how it sees fit to. but if you had it in user mode and it still did that I can understand why you would lose patience.
