    When I get a message of an update error like 1008, what assurance do I have that whatever I missed or was wrong in the defective update will be cured by the next update???


    And what is a 1008 error?? What does that mean?

    But what I am asking is what is error 1008? I didn't get the update? I only got part of the update? The update I got was corrupted? And most importantly do I


    have any assurance that whatever the problem the update encountered was cured by the next update?

    OK so my French is a little rusty but it appears there was a problem with the update server at least for the french edition. Are all the updates, e.g., english, french from the same server?

    Don't worry, you've got a complete renovation, it is an alternative update server that can replace the core if problems arise.

    Please note that the issue was on our end (update servers) and was resolved in a few hours without any action from our customer's side.
