Cant Access Local Intranet Websites

edited September 2013 in Antivirus

Hi,

I was a BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2013 Home user. About a month ago, i could no longer access local intranet websites. The webpage will eventually just time out. However i could still access the internet. I then attempted to uninstall and reinstall the same product but the problem persisted.

I then uninstalled and also used the BitDefender uninstall tool afterwards. At this point i was able to access the local intranet websites and the internet. I then installed the current BitDefender Antivirus Plus and the problem surfaced again. I used google and came across the following post from you:

After renaming the bdtl.dll file the problem was fixed.

I am using Windows 7 SP1 Professional 64bit. Please find below my current BitDefender version details.

I would like to know when this issue is going to be resolved permanently?

    Hello,

From your screen shot I notice that you have an outdated build version (17.16.0.729).

Please be advised that the issue you report is already fixed in build number 17.18.0.808. Make sure that the Bitdefender product updates daily, and in order to do this please right click on the Bitdefender icon from the system tray (near Windows clock) and choose 'Update now'. Once the Bitdefender product will ask you to restart the computer and the build version will change to 17.18.0.808 (latest build) the issue should be fixed.

If the product still does not display the build number 17.18.0.808, make sure to uninstall all other security solutions (if any), then repair Bitdefender by following the steps indicated in this article:

I'm here for you should you have other questions or concerns.

    Have a nice day!

  • Thank you Georgia. The problem has now been resolved. Thank you for improving such a great product!

The below screen shot is my current BitDefender version.

I hope the above is the latest?
